Matt Gamston from Trinity Baptist Church, Gloucester, preached a rousing exposition of 2 Corinthians 1:1-11. Matt drew on his experience in Manila to show that ‘Bringing the truth to light’ means (i) suffering (ii) weakness (iii) dependence and (iv) power.

In 2018 at our Root Hill Youth Camp, Andrew King did a series of talks on The Sermon on the Mount.
In the fifth talk in the series Andrew challenges us to not be judgemental, not to take the place of God in writing others off, but to do good to them. While personally we should be seeking to change within ourselves to be living more like Christ.

In the final session at our Annual Mission Day 2018 David Campbell (North Preston Evangelical Church) preached a very moving sermon on Acts 23:11, looking at the assurance the Lord gave Paul that having testified for him in Jerusalem, he would also testify in Rome. God’s plan is unassailable, even if in mission we often cannot see how it will be worked out.
