This series considers the Bible’s teaching on poverty and prosperity to help us understand how some have a comfortable life while others are dying from hunger or a lack of medical care. We think about what a Christian response should be and what can be done to relieve this suffering. Then, we will what encouragement and hope the Bible offers to those who are so disadvantaged.

‘Don’t get distracted onto a gospel that says Jesus came not just to bring us salvation from sin, but to offer us salvation from sickness, poverty and all earthly suffering. Such a gospel reduces our relationship with God, fails to identify our greatest need, it empties the gospel of its wonderful good news and it robs God of his glory.’
